Our Purchasing team is located in Kings Park, North-West of Sydney with branch offices in other states around Australia.

Position Purpose

Creation & Maintenance of Purchase orders (Project, Stock & Service related Orders)Engage in supplier development and negotiationManage RFQ's & Tendering processMonitor and expedite orders to meet deadlines.

Specific Tasks

Creation of Purchase orders using SAP on daily basisObtaining quotes, managing RFQ's and supplier negotiationsCreation and maintenance of Purchase order confirmations, In-transit records and preparing for paperwork for goods receiving department for all overseas shipmentsLiaising with suppliers, internal stakeholders, customs brokers & freight forwarders on regular basisKeep all internal stakeholder updated of the progress of all outstanding ordersPro-actively manage delivery delays or stocks accuracy issuesMaintaining supplier portfolio and pricelistsMaking critical decisions on mode of transport for material required for stock and customer orders from all overseas suppliersConducting supplier evaluation and auditsCreation of Indirect category Purchase Orders, sourcing & strategy implementationPurchase Order Administration and cost control.

QualificationsAustralian Citizen or Permanent ResidentProven experience in Purchasing for at least 2-3 yearsGraduates with experience in PurchasingExperience within a technical or engineering companySAP R3 Purchasing Knowledge essentialStrong communication skills- clearly conveying information and ideas in both verbal and written formatsA strong team focus and personal work ethicFormal qualifications in a commercial, engineering or purchasing specific discipline expectedHigh proficiency in Excel expectedExperience with Contract Management desired
