Who will you be working with? Reporting to Store Controller. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the managing and processing of purchase orders ensuring timely procurement of goods and services and maintaining accurate records. The Purchasing Officer will work closely with vendors, internal departments, and inventory teams to support supply chain operations.
Where is the position located? This is Permanent full time position at Welshpool, WA
What will your typical day look like?
Process purchase requisitions and manage order tracking;
Communicate with suppliers to confirm product availability, delivery schedules and pricing;
Maintain and update inventory records and stock levels;
Purchase goods and consumables with the focus on finding the best quality product at the best cost;
Administer and manage clothing and PPE orders for all staff;
Compare suppliers to source the best quality at the best price;
Monitor back-order status with vendors and communicate updates to supervisors;
Capture all purchase orders in Epicor;
Create and maintain strong relationship with suppliers;
Complete supplier reports and work alongside QA to ensure CAR's & NCR's are raised accordingly;
Perform other duties as directed by the Purchasing Supervisor, Stock Controller or General Manager.
Support the store clerk by adopting urgent tasks when he/she is absent to ensure operational goals are met;
Perform month-end stock control duties;
Actively participate and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation practices;
Commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements;

Knowledge of modern business communication, including email etiquette;
Computer proficiency;
Must be detail oriented;
Good time management and meeting of deadlines when due;
Effective communication skills; and
Hold a High Risk Forklift Licence
Willing to work as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
