Under the direction of the Manager, purchases service and delivers customer facing quotes/proposals for service. Demonstrates technical knowledge within the area of Calibration and Repair Services and related quality aspects of the process and its impact

Responsibilities Purchases calibration, and, or repair services from various vendorsWork with the lab personnel and management to ensure timely and effective management of the processCommunicate with customer personnel in order to procure method of paymentMay interview vendor representative.May develop and evaluate qualified suppliers.Obtains competitive bids.Reviews and analyzes price quotations.May negotiate contracts.Coordinates purchase requirements with operating departments.May expedite the delivery of critical equipment and/or service.May handle one assigned group or type of purchases worth several million dollars per year.Reviews requisitions.Coordinates activities involved with procuring services for organization by performing the following duties.Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, and turn time, and delivery schedule.Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.Discusses defective or unacceptable services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.May approve invoices for payment.Provide information to the appropriate departments regarding delivery issues for the return of customer goods.May expedite delivery of goods.Must contact customers via both phone & emailDocumenting all information within company database(s) to include CalTrak, C3, Salesforce, and APLUS, and others as necessaryOther duties as directed. Qualifications

Job Requirements
