Purchasing Specialist
Qualifications: + 2+ years of recent purchasing/procurement experience (within the manufacturing industry). + Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel experience) and ERP experience. + Experience with vendor management and supply chain management. + Bachelor's Degree preferred but minimum of HS Diploma or GED required. Responsibilities: + Assist the Purchasing Manager in running the department and monitoring inventory. + Research and select vendors to improve profitability and efficiency. + Handle RFQs, purchase orders, shipping schedules, and purchase records. + Maintain and file purchase orders, contracts, receipts, and transactions. + Build and maintain good relationships with vendors, ensuring timely follow-ups. + Oversee on-site vendor equipment and programs (e.g., AIRGAS, MSC). + Review cost proposals and negotiate prices and contracts with the Purchasing Manager. + Compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies. + Stay updated on market trends to manage costs and find new vendors. + Help with yearly inventory and other assigned tasks. Work Environment 100% in onsite within the office. Hours are Monday through Friday. 7:45am - 4:30pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
