Job Description

 

Adhere to and implement procurement policies and proceduresMonitor consumption patterns and manage slow-moving and non-moving items proactivelyVerify incoming goods, issue supplies on authorized requests, and maintain accurate inventory recordsPerform regular inventory checks for quantity, quality, and expiration datesAssist in carrying out periodic inventories of operating equipmentSupport cost control objectives and maintain audit trailsUpdate management on supply issues and obtain specialist opinions when necessaryEnsure proper documentation for all received and outgoing goodsMaintain records for municipality and local authority requirementsManage the secure storage and timely distribution of received productsCreate credit notes and document returned hotel properties as neededUpdate accounts payable with supporting documentation daily
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role in a premium hotel requiredPurchasing experience is a MUSTComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications and or relevant computer applications requiredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferredExcellent administrative, interpersonal, written and verbal skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detailAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
