Purchasing Supervisor
Assist in managing supplier portfolios, and establishing structured supplier relationships, while coordinating and administering supply agreements with on-going supply partners. Materials risk assessment and lead time profiling by supplier to benefit the materials acquisition process. Identifying and developing potential suppliers in support of growth and operational efficiency objectives. Working in concert with the production department overseeing the delivery process. Developing inventory systems to minimize inventory and increase turns. Assist in negotiating LTAs with key suppliers that established fixed pricing and shortened lead times. Other related responsibilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and abilities:

5 plus years of experience in a purchasing agent or purchasing supervisor position. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Purchasing, or Management preferred. Excellent leadership skills: ability to mentor, motivate and direct staff. Must have experience developing Purchasing policies and procedures. Must have experience executing vendor contracts and price negotiation skills. Ability to make sound purchasing decisions based on knowledge & experience. Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills: strong technical skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of MRP systems. Experience managing a vast and diverse vendor network. Experience with MRO purchasing. CPSM, CSM, APICS or Equivalent Designation a plus! Comfortable in a fast paced environment with short turnaround times. Heavy documentation skills needed to track schedule, pricing, budgets, backorders and inventory. Familiar with IS9001 and AS9100

 

MIN/MAX: $85-$95k
