Purification Process Sciences (Computer Science) Summer Intern

We are seeking sophomore and junior students majoring in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field for two 12-Week Student Intern roles to be working in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.

Position Duties:

This role has two separate headcount for the descriptions listed below.

Utilization of Platform Knowledge for Purification Process Characterization Development:

Analyze data and reports from prior process characterization experiments.

Use statistical and AI software programs to understand whether prior knowledge can support platform claims such as parameter classification.

Assist with laboratory experiments to better understand the data that is being analyzed.

Expansion of Viral Clearance Database:

Transfer of historical viral clearance data to the Viral Clearance Database.

Improve/Expand visualization and data analysis for the database with SpotFire.

Support current viral clearance projects through laboratory work.

Position Requirements:

Undergraduate sophomore and junior students majoring in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.

Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.

Coding skills such as JMP, Python, C++, SQL, R, and SAS are a plus.

PowerBI and/or SpotFire experience is a plus.

Microsoft Office experience such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.

US Work Authorization is required at time of application.

This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.

Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 3-5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.

Minimum grade point average of 3.0
