Job Description

Position Title: PV Plant Construction Manager
Location: Angola, South Africa
Contract Duration: 15 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PV Plant Construction Manager to manage the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Angola under an EPC contract.The Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of the construction phase of the project, ensuring that the plant is built according to the EPC contract’s scope, quality, timeline, and budget requirements.The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale renewable energy projects and knowledge of EPC processes.Manage the complete construction of the PV plant from design review through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with the EPC contract.Coordinate all construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications outlined in the EPC agreement.Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to monitor project progress and resolve issues promptly.Oversee day-to-day activities on-site, including supervising teams of workers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of the work.Ensure that all activities align with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to maintain site safety and ensure all operations comply with industry standards and regulationsOversee day-to-day activities on-site, including supervising teams of workers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of the work.Enforce the terms of the EPC contract, ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers fulfill their contractual obligations on time and within budget.Ensure that all necessary materials, equipment, and resources are procured and delivered to the site on time, in accordance with the project schedule.Implement strict quality control measures to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with the EPC contract requirements.Coordinate HSE audits and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance with all relevant safety standards, environmental requirements, and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering.Experience: Minimum of 7 years in construction management experience in PV plant or renewable energy projects under EPC contracts.Knowledge: Thorough understanding of EPC contract terms, construction processes, PV systems, and project management principles.Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
