Job Description & Summary

The PwC CEE CSRD Leader will take a leadership role in establishing and driving internal processes related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting across the PwC CEE network. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and overseeing a unified framework for preparing PwC CEE’s consolidated sustainability report in compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). This position will ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance in PwC’s internal ESG reporting processes.

The PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region is a diverse mix of countries with varying economic, regulatory, and cultural landscapes. This position requires managing a virtual team of data owners, coordinating contributions from all 23 CEE countries, spanning from Prague to Ulaanbaatar, and ensuring consistent, high-quality, and compliant ESG data for PwC’s consolidated sustainability report. You will act as a central point of contact, working closely with internal teams across the region to ensure alignment and efficiency in reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

CSRD Reporting Framework Development

Lead the development and implementation of PwC CEE’s internal ESG reporting processes, ensuring alignment with CSRD and ESRS requirements.Lead a virtual team of 23 data owners and cooperation with the CEE centre for carbon footprint calculation.Define data collection, validation, and reporting procedures to ensure high-quality, auditable ESG data.

Consolidated Sustainability Report Preparation

Oversee the preparation of PwC CEE’s annual consolidated sustainability report, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global best practices.Coordinate contributions from all territories within the CEE region to create a cohesive, accurate, and comprehensive report.Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables to ensure timely and efficient report completion.Oversee and contribute to the preparation of PwC CEE’s consolidated sustainability report.

Internal Collaboration and Alignment

Work closely with territory ESG leads, risk management, finance, and other internal teams to align on reporting processes and priorities.Facilitate knowledge-sharing and collaboration across territories to promote consistency and address challenges in ESG reporting.Act as the central point of contact for all internal CSRD and ESG-related queries within the CEE region.

Data Governance and Quality Assurance

Develop and oversee robust data governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of reported ESG data.Conduct internal reviews and quality checks to identify and address gaps or inconsistencies in data and reporting processes.Ensure that all reported data meets the requirements for external assurance and aligns with PwC’s global sustainability goals.

Regulatory Compliance and Updates

Stay updated on CSRD, ESRS, and other relevant ESG regulations to ensure PwC CEE remains compliant with evolving requirements in the Netherlands.Translate regulatory developments on Netherlands/consolidated level into actionable insights and updates for the internal reporting framework.

Reporting and Communication

Present findings, progress, and recommendations to PwC CEE CSRD responsible partner and probably to PwC CEE Leadership.Communicate and cooperate with external auditors 

Requirements of the roleUniversity degree in Environmental Studies, Data Science, or Business Administration.Excellent command of the English languageDemonstrated expertise in managing projects effectively.Previous experience in a regional role or managing responsibilities across multiple countries is preferred.CSRD Reporting: Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) standards.Proven track record in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics, including CSRD and net-zero programs are preferredHigh level of precision in service delivery, communication, and collaboration.Exceptional ability to analyze data and propose well-founded conclusions.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Strong willingness to learn new skills and stay updated with the latest industry developments.
