Job Summary

As IFF Nourish Product Experience (PX) Researchers, we represent the voice of the consumer within IFF and help to drive regional sales by implementing research designs and effectively managing resources to ensure we create optimal products people love.



As Product Experience Researcher I, you will be responsible for sub regions (Middle east, Pakistan and Levant) in AMETI. You will guide and drive sensory and consumer research activities and projects in alignment with business opportunities and corporate strategies You will partner closely with the creation and design team with sensory and consumer insights that are directly relevant for the product design and formulation. You will also partner with commercial and marketing teams to ensure impactful customer engagement reactively and proactively. You will be the voice of the consumer. You may also coach and manage direct reports. To be successful in this role, you must have 3-5 years of experience in the field of sensory and consumer research, preferably in the food and beverage industry. You are strategic and insightful while being pragmatic and results oriented. More than anything, you are passionate about the profession and want to make a difference. 

As a Product Experience Researcher II: 
 
•    Work with cross functional teams and effectively design and implement sensory & consumer insights methods for product development and formulation for the creation of products.
•    Collaborate with regional and global Product Experience Team. Display attitude of helping cross functional teams and ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude to find solutions for problems. Consult with manager to find solution and act as owner to implement them.
•    Generate sensory and consumer data through: 
o    Effective use of discriminative and descriptive sensory methods 
o    Design quantitative consumer tests 
o    Conduct qualitative consumer research (from creating moderator guides to 
moderating, assimilating results, and reporting) 
•    Analyze complex consumer and sensory data using statistical models ; effectively translate raw data into insights and actionable recommendations that support the development and design of products.  
•    Present findings to internal stakeholders and customers to guide development and showcase consumer understanding in the products developed.  
•    Contribute to building expertise in sensory and consumer methods and related statistics methods. 
•    Manage and coordinate activity of the Associate Researchers and/or Technicians
•    Manage timely documentation and system management: ensuring all necessary documents are archived, tasks managing system is updated, databases are filled.
•    When applicable, monitor over time performance of evaluators; prepare and implement corrective actions.  

Required Skills: 


•    Degree and/or Masters in Sensory Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Food Science or related area  
•    Learning agility and drive for results, creativity and problem solving  
•    Strong people skills and an effective team player 
•    Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision by manager  
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge in written and verbal Arabic language is an advantage
•    Understanding and hands on analysis of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and related data analysis; being at ease with statistical programs such as R, SPSS, JMP, and Xlstat 
 

Preferred Skills:  


•    Advanced skills in sensory and consumer methodologies and data analysis 
•    Trained in qualitative research methods.
•    Expertise in advance statistics
