Job Summary:As a PYE (Product Yield Improvement) Lab Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will help boost product yield by carefully operating equipment and implementing mechanical and electrical processes to test semiconductor products. You will confirm and track products, supervise processes, and promptly address any problems. Partnership is essential as you partner with engineering, technical, and manufacturing teams to manage special requests, coordinate test equipment usage, and record equipment status.
Responsibilities:Investigate lots to facilitate requests for specific lots or components submitted via the PYE FAILMECH queue.Identify the type of request being handled and complete the appropriate procedures.Apply Linux commands to conduct extensive research and request the accurate parts.Capitalize on web-based resources for detailed product analysis.Run the fuse sort script (Linux) to build FSRT instructions for submission to the accurate test facility.Perform light tasks using hand-held tools weighing less than 3 lbs.Operate Single Board Tester/Pretest (SBT) Stations.Understand and operate specific equipment such as the AX5 and AX6 burn-in ovens.Determine the appropriate flow to use based on part type, configuration, and register fail.Use the fail map application (FMAP) to verify the success of processes.Coordinate shifts to efficiently use testers in the Characterization lab.Access the Characterization account (CHAR) and locate accurate requests and scripts to run.Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve chronic issues.Build familiarity with key multi-functional contacts such as Tech and Char support.Stand for up to 10 hours per shift and walk intermittently (1-5 miles per shift) to fulfill job requirements.Respond promptly and effectively to potentially dangerous situations.Minimum Requirements:Associate degree in relevant technical fields or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.Ability to work 12-hour shifts, adapt to different shifts, and work overtime as needed.Regularly lift 5-20 pounds, which accounts for about 10% of the job responsibilities.2 years of experience in performing preventative maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment.2 years of experience adhering to safety policies and completing required safety training.2 years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to resolve manufacturing equipment issues.2 years of addressing manufacturing equipment performance and safety concerns.Ability to wear role-specific safety equipment as needed!Preferred Requirements:Two years of experience in a technical field or higher, or equivalent military experience.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
