Job Title: Python Programmer Type: Contract Location:  Remote, worker can be located anywhere in US, but must work EST hours Pay Rate: Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, with occasional off-hour support as needed Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Travel Requirements: Up to 5% may be required Description: As a Python Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and scripts. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to high-quality software solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements. This role offers both back-end and front-end development responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: Support existing proprietary Python applications, scripts, and tools. Develop and maintain Python applications, scripts, and tools. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices. Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to define project requirements. Design and implement scalable software solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain stability and performance. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies. Document development processes and code for future reference. Requirements: Required Qualifications: 5-7 years of proven experience as a Python Programmer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Python and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and libraries (requests, Pandas, NumPy). Familiarity with web front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of machine learning techniques or data analysis. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted.
