Job description

Infosys is seeking a Python Lead Developer. In this role, you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model, research on technologies independently, recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. You will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of Information Technology experienceAt least 3 years of experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python, especially Python server-side backend programmingGood understanding of OOPS conceptsStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting All applicants authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to apply Preferred Qualifications: Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practicesStrong knowledge in RESTful APIs, Data structures, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading and memory management and concurrencyExperience in Big data ecosystem using Hadoop, Spark, Scala using Python packages and libraries for large scale dataGood understanding of Agile software development frameworksExperience in Banking domainStrong communication and Analytical skillsAbility to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teamsExperience and desire to work in a global delivery environmentThe job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
