Test Planning and Design: Analyze functional specifications and user stories to develop detailed test plans and test cases.  Identify critical test scenarios and edge cases to ensure thorough testing.  Create test data for various testing scenarios in prescribed templates which can be taken up for automation

 

Test Execution: Manually execute test cases across different functionalities, including UI, system, regression, and usability testing.  Document test results and identify defects accurately using bug tracking tools.  Report issues to the development team with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce. 

 

Defect Management: Prioritize defects based on severity and impact.  Track defect status and follow up with developers for resolution. Retest the defects and update test results and defect management tool upon satisfactory working.  Conduct regression testing to ensure bug fixes do not introduce new issues. 

 

Collaboration:   Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and testing objectives.  Provide feedback on user experience and suggest improvements to the product design.  Participate in code reviews and requirement analysis sessions. 

 

Automation: Prepare automation datasheets in required template for functional test cases.
