Our client, a popular snack foods distributor is seeking a **QA & Compliance Specialist** to join their team. As a QA & Compliance Specialist, you will be part of the Product Development Team supporting quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a **bachelor's degree in food science** , nutrition, biology or related field, **at least 3 years of experience in food quality and regulatory compliance** , and **strong knowledge of HACCP, FDA requirements** which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist** **Location: Irvine, California** **Pay Rate: $50K - $60K D.O.E.** **What’s the Job?** + Act as primary liaison for overseas QA personnel on product safety. + Ensure products, ingredients, labels, and claims comply with FDA regulations and company standards. + Oversee FSMA compliance and respond to FDA audits and regulatory inquiries. + Maintain and manage FSVP documentation, including the recall plan, FDA food facility registration, HACCP plan, and certificates of analysis. + Conduct internal audits of product labels and provide corrective action guidance. **What’s Needed?** + Bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, biology or related field. + At least 3 years of experience in the food industry QA, regulatory compliance, or product development. + Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, FDA food safety, and labeling regulations. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, MS Office Suite. + Knowledge of Japanese culture/language is a plus but not required. **What’s in it for me?** + $50K - $60K annually + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life + Sick leave, vacation, paid holidays + Annual bonus + 401K If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
