Job Brief: We are looking for QA Automation Engineer on the Aon Reinsurance QA team with manual and automation testing experience; focus on automation development and execution. In this role, the QA Automation Engineer should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication, competent in executing test cases, and passionate about quality. Ultimately, the QA Automation Engineer will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly. QA Tester responsibilities include: Reviewing and analyzing features and user stories to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. Identify test requirements from specifications, document detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases and test scenarios for functional and regression testing. Collaborate with QA colleagues to develop effective strategies and test plans Develop and execute automated test cases and analyze results to ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Reporting and documenting defects Active participation as a member of the Scrum team Communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption. Work closely with software developers and business analysts to resolve issues. Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analysts, and Developers on tasks related to the planning, testing, and coordination of release activities. Help troubleshoot issues Conduct post-release/ post-production testing Adhere to the existing policies, processes, and procedures established for the Reinsurance Quality Assurance Team. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years automation test experience Minimum of 2 year of experience in Unified Functional Test (UFT) Minimum of 6 months manual test experience Ability to work independently and within a team setting with minimal direction/supervision Ability to think strategically, demonstrating critical thought in a complex business environment Demonstrate solid understanding of testing fundamentals Demonstrate effective professional communication (written and verbal) skills Strong understanding of the Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Agile Training/Certification and/or Experience Reinsurance Experience, preferred Workflow Management Tool experience, TFS / Azure DevOps Basic SQL Query experience How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
