The QA Engineer will design, document and implement test plans for new and existing projects, report and manage defects, assist development with replicating and debugging issues, and develop test automation solutions. The successful candidate will possess strong technical and programming/automation skills, have experience testing enterprise-class system software packages and will have a working familiarity with MS Windows.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on business requirements
Collaborate with Delivery and Development staff through all stages of the SDLC
Perform lead responsibilities on an as-needed basis
Review test plans, test scripts, and garner timely feedback from the project team
Deploy and troubleshoot software on the internal and customer test environments
Monitor defects and communicate defect metrics to the members of the team
Automate testing using an automation tool such as FitNesse/Selenium as needed
Requirements
3-5 years experience testing web-based, n-tier systems
Proficiency in developing and executing SQL queries
Aptitude in Microsoft Server Application administration, including IIS and MS-SQL Server
Experience with defect tracking tools and version control systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of QA methodology
Healthcare background strongly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Proficiency in scripting UI automation, preferably Selenium
