Job Title: QA Food Safety Coordinator
Job Description

Perform basic testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods at a high level of throughput using the required methodology according to quality guidelines, with supervision. Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Operate and assist in the evaluation, calibration, and validation of testing instrumentation. Interpret data from routine analyses to validate that materials meet specifications. Participate in various duties to ensure laboratory operation.

ResponsibilitiesPerform basic testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.Operate and assist in the evaluation, calibration, and validation of testing instrumentation.Interpret data from routine analyses to validate that materials meet specifications.Apply standard approaches to record and interpret results, with peer review.Participate in various duties to ensure laboratory operation.Troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment.Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).Essential SkillsKnowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).Experience with chromatography and chemical analysis.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Good understanding of food defense and food safety practices.HACCP Certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsPCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) Certification is a plus.Juice HACCP Certification is preferred.Bachelor's degree in a science field, preferably Applied Chemistry or Chemistry.1-3 years of experience in a quality lab function in a food-related business.Work Environment

You will be working with state-of-the-art equipment in a clean work environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am to 4 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
