Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Food Safety Coordinator to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest quality standards by performing essential testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Your contributions will ensure that our products meet rigorous quality guidelines while working within a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality specifications.Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring optimal functionality and accuracy.Assist in the evaluation, calibration, and validation of testing instruments while interpreting analytical data effectively.Document and analyze results systematically, applying peer review processes to enhance laboratory operations.Engage in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions on laboratory equipment to uphold quality standards.Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) in all laboratory activities.Collaborate with team members to support various laboratory operations and initiatives aimed at enhancing food safety and quality.

Essential Skills:

Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).Experience in chromatography and chemical analysis.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.Good knowledge of food defense and food safety practices.HACCP Certification is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) Certification is advantageous.Juice HACCP Certification is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, preferably Applied Chemistry or Chemistry.1-3 years of relevant experience in a quality lab setting, ideally within the food industry.

Work Environment:

Your work will take place in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting where you will have access to advanced equipment. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts from either 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
