Job Description
The responsibilities of this position require working in the analytical laboratory as well as the packaging laboratory located on the factory floor.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain laboratory equipment, including HPLC and GC.Conduct tests and analyses using chromatography, titration, and pH testing.Perform microbiological and chemical analyses in both the analytical and packaging laboratories.Collect and prepare samples from the manufacturing floor for testing.Review paperwork and handle quality holds.Assist with quality issues on the manufacturing floor as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with HPLC and GC techniques.Knowledge of laboratory practices in chemistry and microbiology.Ability to conduct chromatography, titration, and pH testing.Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or a related science field (biology, natural science, etc.) including completion of lab coursework.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work any shift, including nights and weekends.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Work Environment
This is a Quality Control lab that operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates must be able to work any shift. Starting January 1, 2025, the facility will run a 2-2-3 shift and a Monday - Friday shift. The 2-2-3 schedules are 6am-6pm, and 6pm-6am, while the Monday - Friday schedules are 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am. Most new hires will start on the 6pm-6am 2-2-3 shift, or the Monday - Friday 2nd or 3rd shift. Shifts will not rotate, but employees may have to fill in for others. Training will last approximately 6-7 weeks in both the analytical and packaging labs, from 6am-2pm, Monday - Friday.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.94 - $23.94
