Reporting to the Director of Software, the QA Lead will lead and inspire our QA team, based in our Carlstadt, NJ, USA headquarters. This is a hybrid role. This role will focus on driving quality initiatives, enhancing automation frameworks, and defining the strategic direction for quality assurance to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with business objectives and ensures software quality at scale.Define what "Great" looks like in QA by establishing best practices, benchmarks, and standards for quality processes.Collaborate with development and product teams to integrate quality practices early in the development lifecycle (shift-left testing).Automation and Process Optimization:
Drive the implementation and optimization of test automation frameworks for cloud, mobile, and desktop applications.Identify and deploy cutting-edge tools and technologies to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.Establish CI/CD pipelines with robust automated testing processes to support frequent releases and faster feedback cycles.Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Oversee talent management, including performance evaluations, hiring, training, and retention of top QA talent.Mentor and coach QA team members to ensure their growth and success within the organization.Future-Focused QA Initiatives:
Lead strategic initiatives to innovate and scale QA practices, ensuring the team is equipped to meet future software challenges.Stay informed on emerging trends and advancements in QA, automation, AI testing, and DevOps to drive continuous improvement.Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous learning across the engineering organization.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, UX) to align on product quality goals and priorities.Define and communicate quality metrics, providing visibility into product health, risks, and improvement opportunities.Champion QA processes, advocating for quality standards and initiatives across the organization.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of QA leadership experience.Proven experience in leading QA teams and driving strategic quality initiatives.Expertise in building, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools).Proven experience with continuous delivery pipelines, automating deployments, and using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. Strong understanding of CD best practices.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into the development process.Solid knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and a proactive approach to shift-left testing.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.Proficiency in performance testing, security testing, and data-driven testing techniques.Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Jenkins, Git, and analytics platforms.Understanding of UX/UI testing fundamentals and user-centric quality practices.Knowledge of software trends, such as AI-assisted testing, robotic process automation (RPA), and predictive analytics for QA.Why Join Us?

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
