Job Summary:
The QAQC-EE is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical systems and installations for a water utility project. They will work closely with the project team to implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and verify that all electrical work meets the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance and quality control plan for the electrical scope of work. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess the quality of electrical installations, materials, and workmanship. Identify and document any non-conformities or defects, and work with the project team to implement corrective actions. Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to the project team on electrical quality-related matters. Collaborate with the client, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of quality-related activities. Maintain detailed records of all quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions. Provide technical support and training to the project team on quality-related best practices and procedures. Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas' quality management system and relevant industry standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical quality assurance and quality control, preferably in the water utility or infrastructure industry. Thorough understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the project. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including design, installation, and testing. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficient in the use of quality management tools and software. Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' quality management system and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
