QA/QA Review Specialist
Job Brief

The QA/QI Review Specialist is responsible for completing internal quality reviews within Certified and NonCertified Program settings.

Shift Worked: 9:00AM - 5:00PM (Flexible) Weekly Hours: 37.5 FLSA Status: Non Exempt Pay range: $50,000-$60,000

POSITION SUMMARY

The QA/QI Review Specialist is responsible for completing internal quality reviews within Certified and NonCertified Program settings.  The Review Specialist will analyze data obtained through reviews and develop reports that summarize findings and make recommendations, as appropriate. The Review Specialist will provide technical assistance and support to program staff in developing improvement plans to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

POSITION DUTIES

Completes internal quality reviews within certified and non-certified program settings.    Analyzes information gathered through the reviews and develops reports that identify recommendations to address areas of concern that are disseminated to program management teams. Conducts monitoring visits to settings based on internal and external audit results. Conducts weekly observations to settings to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.  Provides technical assistance and support to agency program staff in developing corrective actions for identified issues, as necessary, to ensure regulatory compliance. Works collaboratively with management and program staff on the development of strategies, systems, policies/procedures, as appropriate to correct identified issues.  Attends trainings with Trade Associations, Justice Center and OPWDD to remain up to date with any changes with regulatory compliance.    Participates in standing committees, meetings, as assigned. Maintains CPR/First Aid trainer certificate.  Performs all other duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

BA/BS in related human services field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in developmental disabilities and /or regulatory compliance.  Thorough knowledge of City, State and Federal regulations governing the operation of intermediate care facilities, individual residential alternatives, day habilitation programs, ACS, supported employment.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in multiple locations throughout the metropolitan area.  Able to work flexible hours and/or days as necessary. Proficient in Microsoft office applications. Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.  Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting.  Completes corporate compliance training at least annually.  Fully cooperates in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.  Share
