Genesys Engineering, P.C., a subsidiary of Willdan Energy Solutions (“Willdan-Genesys”) is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of QA/QC and EOR in our Manhattan, NY OR Pelham, NY office. This person will be a key member of the engineering team and will work closely with our offices in the NYC metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering design and QA/QC background within the New York State and New York City areas. The candidate must have a working knowledge of buildings mechanical, electrical and other support systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and good communication skills. 

 

The Engineering Department has approximately 15 personnel with annual revenue between $2-4M. 

 

Responsibilities 

Sign and seal all drawings and specifications prepared by the Engineering Department for filing to the respective jurisdiction within New York and New Jersey.Conduct quality control review of engineering design calculations performed by in-house or outside consultants (MEP only).QA/QC construction documents including design drawings and project specifications.Conduct site visits to verify installed conditions, gather information, and observe construction and help resolve field issues during construction.Support the peer review process of RFI responses and equipment submittals during the bid and construction phases.Conduct quality control review of design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure compliance with contract requirements.Ability to move seamlessly between projects and support prioritization of projects and schedules according to Senior Management. 

Minimum Qualifications 

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.NYS PE is required.Minimum 5-12 years of experience in designing MEP Projects.Ability to work well with junior level staff.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated familiarity with NYC and NYS building codes required.Experience with municipalities and government agencies a plus. Prior client experience with: DASNY, CUNY, OGS and other NYS Agencies is desired.Strong technical skills.
