The Purpose of the Role

To provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) leadership advice and support necessary to assist managers and staff to fulfill their QA/QC responsibilities to the standards demanded by the contract, the business and to administer elements of Honeywell and Global Major Projects (GMP) QA/QC policies. The over-riding objective is to ensure Honeywell discharges its QA/QC obligations and duties in a diligent and professional manner in pursuing a right first time approach, and that Honeywell is not unduly exposed on the basis of negligence and/or dereliction of responsibility for management of Quality in the workplace.

Key Areas of Responsibility

·       Develop and maintain the project QA/QC Management System.

·       Conduct and organise phased inspections and conduct audits and reviews of the QA/QC Management system, including subcontractors, designers and suppliers where appropriate to confirm compliance.

·       Provide support and advice in the assessment and monitoring of subcontractors’ management systems.

·       Provide a proactive approach to improve quality of work at site, minimize rework and demonstrate continual improvement.

·       Raise the profile of Quality with Honeywell construction teams and subs by promoting Best Practice.

·       Participation in the identification, writing, editing and publishing of project processes and  procedures in line with the requirements of Honeywell internal guidelines.

·       Carry out system audits against the requirements of ISO 9001 if/as required.

·       Monitor and ensure close-out of corrective actions from non-conformance reports.

·       Provide communication (and training if necessary) of the QA/QC Management System and processes to the Project Team

·       Participate in the co-ordination of the setting, collection, analysis and publishing of Quality Key performance Indicators

·       Work closely with Project Managers to receive and implement ideas for continual improvement of any procedures and systems. Liaise with District Managers and external organizations on issues relevant to quality.

Qualifications

·       Preferably Tertiary Qualification or Experience in ELV Systems.

·       10 years related industry experience

·       Extensive working experience with local QA/QC legislation.

·       Ability to master new software systems, especially in the areas of QA/QC Management
