Come join our team as an QA/QC Verification Specialist supporting energy efficiency programs and under-served communities in Michigan. ICF is seeking a candidate with strong communication skills and technical review experience in the Metro Detroit area to support Michigan energy efficiency programs. In this role, you will use your energy efficiency experience to perform technical reviews for multifamily residential energy efficiency program applications.
Working closely with the client and our nation-wide implementation team, you’ll focus on bringing energy efficiency and bill savings to customers including under-served communities, providing safer, more energy efficient homes, and ensuring energy grid stability in the greater Detroit area.

Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that utility sponsored energy efficiency project technical reviews are successfully executed. Review technical specifications and supporting documents for multifamily residential energy efficiency prescriptive rebate applications. Review technical specifications and energy savings for multifamily residential energy efficiency custom rebate applications. Provide technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to internal team. Must be able to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences. Prepare status reports to accurately describe activities within projects and to monitor progress towards program goals on participation and the completion of eligible projects. Coordinate with or follow up on program Quality Assurance activities such as inspections, as appropriate. Maintain strong ongoing communications with program team in order to assess needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program process. Maintain and revise the program's technical operations manual. Assess whole building efficiency strategies, building plans and specifications, and make recommendations for energy efficiency upgrades or improvements. Research and conduct energy efficiency product trainings for continuous improvement team sharing meetings.What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related discipline (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)2+ years of related experience with energy efficiencyWhat we would like you to have:
Working on energy efficiency programs, with experience in reviewing energy efficiency technologies and products, in existing buildings or new construction Commercial and/or residential construction industry in Michigan or experience working with commercial and/or residential construction at a utility, public agency, or non-governmental organization Experience in single-family, multifamily, or commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors Familiarity with both electric and natural gas end-use equipment as it applies to residential buildings Experienced in performing engineering calculations related to energy efficiency Demonstrated familiarity with the Michigan Energy Measure Database Knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 standards Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credentials Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn ICF energy efficiency database/project tracking system#Indeed

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$60,927.00 - $103,576.00Michigan Remote Office (MI99)
