Welcome to Parker Industrial Process Filtration
At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.
The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.
The purpose of this position is obtain the necessary training, testing and experience to qualify as a certified (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) ASNT-TC-1A Level I Radiographic Technician, in accordance with applicable codes and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 Procedures and Work Instructions, under the supervision of an RT Level II/III Qualified Radiography Trainer.

The duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
+ Conduct nondestructive RT examinations to include interpretation and evaluation of products for adherence to code, regulations, customer specifications, and IPF Division Standards, under the supervision of a QA Radiographer I/II/III.
+ Calibrate equipment.
+ Complete inspection records.
+ Work with customer inspectors, as necessary.
+ Prepare documentation packages as specified..
+ Follow ISO 9001 work instructions.
+ Obtain on-the-job training and study to become certified as an ASNT-TC-1A RT Technician Level I.
+ Obtain a Texas State Radiographers License.
+ Perform other tasks, as assigned.
TOOLS
+ NDE equipment.
+ Calipers
+ Film developing equipment
+ Radiation survey equipment
+ Micrometers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:
+ Sufficient math and physics skills to pass state radiographers license test.
+ Working level proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
+ Ability to understand and strictly implement the current IPF Division Radiation Safety Manual.
+ Basic knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and other applicable codes, welding procedures, blueprint reading and IPF Division Standard Practices.
+ Ability to work in a team environment.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ High School Diploma and/or GED.
+ Related experience and/or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must meet the physical demands for the position including, but not limited to, the ability to:

+ Occasionally, lift and/or move 1 to 20 pounds, and occasionally, up to 40 pounds.
+ Use specific vision faculties which include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently, while visiting shop areas, be exposed to harmful light emitted by welding machinery and flying metal particles, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and moderate to high noise levels. The duties of this job are also performed in climate-controlled temperature office environments, with low to moderate noise levels and fluorescent, incandescent and/or natural lighting.
