The Opportunity
FCA is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Quality Assurance Specialist. The Quality Assurance Specialist conducts comprehensive audits and routine monitoring activities to ensure all programs across FCA operate in compliance with relevant policies, procedures, rules and regulations set forth by the agency and local, state and federal requirements
Specifically, the responsibilities and qualifications of the position include:
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate programs to ensure all services are provided in accordance with internal and external QA policies and procedures.
+ Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the operations and regulations related to each program to review records and determine the program’s level of compliance with local, state and federal laws. This includes, but is not limited to reviewing case notes, client charts and billing records.
+ Monitor compliance through post-audit follow-up activities, creating comprehensive, succinct, and timely audit reports that document findings and improvement plans.
+ In collaboration with the division AVP, make recommendations for correcting deficiencies and monitoring implementation of corrective action plans.
+ Facilitate internal QA and Compliance committee meetings including creating agendas, taking minutes and circulating minutes.
+ Oversee the Incident Management and reporting process including tracking incidents, facilitating quarterly IR Committee meetings and Special Meetings required by the Justice Center as needed, creating a quarterly report to be shared with committee members and leadership and compiling an annual IR summary.
+ Conduct event investigations, including staff and client interviews, when required.
+ Monitor, maintain and update QA and IR dashboards to reflect regulatory and industry changes.
+ Provide back-up for ticketing of EHR issues.
+ Conduct the Compliance Training for all new staff at new staff orientation sessions.
+ Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Preferred, in human services or related field.
+ At least three years full-time auditing experience. Preference for individual with experience conducting audits in Medicaid-funded environment and with knowledge of OMH, OASAS, RHY and CCBHC regulations. Knowledge of value-based payments is a plus.
+ Valid and clean NYS driver’s license
Additional Information
+ Salary or Hourly: $65,000-$75,000
+ Schedule: Monday-Friday, hybrid remote
+ This role is full-time (35 hours/week), Exempt
