QA Specialist

You would act as QA Specialist for Burnaby team. FortiDeceptor product is looking for a passionate individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-driven team player, has a passion for cutting-edge security technology, extensive experience in quality assistance area, and will be able to learn quickly. 

As a QA Specialist:

You will need to work as both developer QA and release QA. You need to have good QA quality and also a prompt response for both Dev testing and release testing during each release cycle.

Execute regression testing on Fortinet based products using a combination of manual and autotesting techniques. Create, maintain, and execute test specifications and test cases Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed

We are looking for:

Software testing experience Scripting experience for auto testing Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows and Unix environment Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results Demonstrated knowledge of EXSI, KVM, HyperV, Linux, Sniff, or Ethereal Demonstrated skills in scripting languages, such as PYTHON, shell are considered assets CCNA/CCNP/CCIE and/or RHCE is preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $115,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
