In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure our food production processes and standards comply with legal, customer, and international food safety regulations, while also supporting continuous improvement in our quality systems.

 

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Quality Checks & Compliance: Conduct daily food safety and quality checks, manage compliance documents, and support audits to ensure regulatory standards are met.Regulatory Adherence: Maintain export licenses and verify production meets international food safety regulations and Critical Control Point (CCP) requirements.Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and implement corrective actions based on data analysis.Sanitation Management: Conduct hygiene inspections, monitor sanitation trends, and ensure compliance with cleaning protocols to maintain food safety.Laboratory Testing: Perform environmental and product sampling for HACCP, manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and support R&D with testing and validation.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table:

A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (preferred) OR 5+ years of experience in a food quality role.Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and international standards (HACCP, SQF, BRC).Experience in the meat or food processing industry is an advantage.A solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.The ability to analyse and process high volumes of data and documentation, on a daily basis.Ability to work flexible hoursOther related certifications for food manufacturing e.g. First Aid
