We are looking to hire an QA Team Manager II immediately at our French's Manufacturing Plant in Springfield, Missouri.

Position Overview

This position provides leadership at the Plant for the development, implementation, and administration of the Quality Control function to ensure product safety, integrity, and conformance with respect to customer, Divisional, Corporate and regulatory requirements. This position will work in collaboration with the Plant and McCormick USIG Divisional leadership to formulate and execute a strategic quality plan for the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining customer quality satisfaction through the implementation and use of programs to control raw materials, in-process materials, production process, environmental conditions and finished products Leads in a team based high performance work system by teaching and coaching to continuously develop the Quality teams and their processes Conducts customer/vendor visits and third party audits Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Managing department staffing, expense budget, and capital projects

 

Required Qualifications

BSc in Chemistry, Food Science Functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen 10 years supervisory and QC/QA experience required. Knowledge of food manufacturing essential Knowledge of competitors a plus

Leadership, interactions, communication, influence, tactful, strategic leadership, high level of professionalism

Extensive knowledge of HACCP, Auditing, SSOP’s, GMP’s, FDA, OSHA, Quality Systems, and Plant Sanitation required Needs a background in chemistry/science to understand food science and test results
