Job Title: QA Technician Job Description As a QA Technician, you will be the voice of quality on the production floor and in the lab. You will ensure compliance with SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification. You will be responsible for making sure product checks are being done, training production staff on GMPs, releasing products, filling out batch record information, and documenting per quality standards. Additionally, you will perform lab work including documentation, sampling, environmental monitoring, swabbing, plating, microbial analysis, color and moisture testing for honey and syrup, and data analysis. Responsibilities + Be the Voice of Quality on the production floor for SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification. + Ensure product checks are being performed. + Train production staff on GMPs. + Release products and fill out batch record information. + Document per quality standards. + Perform lab work including documentation, sampling, and sending samples to the R&D team. + Conduct environmental monitoring, swabbing, plating, petrifilm, and microbial analysis. + Test color and moisture for honey and syrup, including pH, refractive index, and viscosity. + Analyze data. Essential Skills + Knowledge of SQF, GMP, quality control, food quality, documentation control, documentation review, and quality assurance. + Experience in HACCP, FDA regulations, batch record review, food manufacturing, audits, and food safety. + Strong personality and communication skills to take a stand on quality issues. + Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or 1+ years of manufacturing experience with quality checks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Potential for HACCP and PCQI certification paid by the employer. + Strong leadership and feedback skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
