General Purpose:

The QA Technician will contribute to ensuring the reliability and functionality of our desktop software products, which cater to the content creator and streamer market. This role involves testing, reporting, and collaborating with the QA team to deliver high-quality software for Windows and macOS platforms.
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
The QA Technician will work alongside experienced QA professionals to execute test cases, identify software and hardware defects, and contribute to the overall quality assurance process. This role is crucial in ensuring our software meets the needs and expectations of our users. The technician will develop a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and gain practical experience in a real-world software development setting.
Responsibilities:
- Test Execution: Execute manual test cases on Windows and macOS platforms to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Bug Reporting: Accurately document and report software defects using a Jira and Qase.
- Test Case Development: Assist in maintenance of test cases and test plans in Qase.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that previously fixed bugs do not reappear.
- Usability Testing: Evaluate the usability and user experience of the software.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team and developers to communicate issues and provide feedback.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of testing activities and results.
- Platform Testing: Test software on various hardware configurations to ensure compatibility.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow established QA processes and standards.
- Learning: Actively seek opportunities to learn new testing techniques and tools.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.

- Basic understanding of desktop software installation and uninstallation procedures as well as drivers.
