**QA Technician - Food** Quality Assurance Orange County, CA, US Pay Rate Low: 22 | Pay Rate High: 25 + Added - 04/02/2025 Apply for Job Growing Food Manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team in Fullerton, CA! **Shift:** 1st and 3rd Shifts available, with occasional weekend. **Pay rate:** $20-25/hr, depending on the shift Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for carrying out SOP’S related to Food Safety and Quality. This includes document control, scanning documents, filing, data entry, lab work, and production floor presence. **Responsibilities:** + Conduct pre-op and operational sanitation inspections. + Perform ATP and environmental swabs. + Conduct chemical and physical analysis of products (pH, viscosity, color, etc.). + Verify equipment calibration and plant temperatures. + Oversee lab equipment, materials, and safety guidelines. + Ensure compliance with specifications, HACCP, and QA/QC records. + Perform inventory rotation, metal detector, and label verifications. + Prepare and distribute HOLD reports and compile QA data. + Interface with USDA inspectors and recommend corrective actions. + Audit employee hygienic practices and enforce sanitation standards. + Assist QA Manager with continuous improvement efforts. + Train employees on hygiene, HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs. **Requirements:** + HS Diploma or GED, plus 1+ year of food manufacturing experience. + Must have familiarity performing sanitation checks. + Ability to evaluate and report product and process quality. + Ability to recommend and implement product, process, and sanitation improvements.
