QA Technician - Nights

**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:**
Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, the incumbent must perform tests on all finished goods in accordance to the Quality Assurance Inspection and Testing manual.
**Location:** **2651 Penny Rd, Claremont, North Carolina, 28610**
**Shift: 8p-8a 12hr shift, rotating schedule**
**Compensation: $22.79/hr. paid weekly**
**NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:**
This position is fairly technical in nature. The incumbent performs tests with lab equipment on all finished goods to determine the quality of the finished product. A high degree of repeatability of testing is required. The Quality Assurance Technician must follow procedural work instructions. The Quality Assurance Technician, works closely with the Quality Assurance Lead on finished goods related quality issues. This incumbent interfaces with the Production Department personnel and on occasion all other departments in the facility. The incumbent will use multiple computer databases to input the data acquired from the tests performed.
**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
+ Know and follow all test procedures as indicated in the Quality Assurance Inspection and Testing manual.
+ Test finished goods from Production.
+ Enter required data into the appropriate computer databases. undefined.
+ Make dispositions of nonconforming material as necessary. undefined.
+ Document any quality concerns or issues.
+ Interface with the Production department personnel on quality concerns or issues.
+ Must have good knowledge of the ISO system.
+ The incumbent may be required to work overtime and perform any other tasks that may arise.
+ Maintain very good housekeeping and safety standards
+ Previous experience in QA within a manufacturing setting required.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Vision: Must be capable of reading letters, numbers and have good color reception. Language: English
+ Hearing: Normal Range of Motion: Full, some bending, lifting, and standing for a 12-hour period.
+ Lifting Capacity: Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs. chest-high. Sitting/Standing: Standing for 12 hours daily, and moving up and down production line.
+ **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** The Quality Assurance Technician must be capable of auditing the extrusion process to quality standards. Other duties assigned. OSHA Requirements: Standard plant safety rules, safety glasses and hearing protection
