QA Test Engineer II
An employer is looking for a QA Test Engineer II to work onsite at their facility in Northwest Houston. This person will work with multiple project teams (internal and outsourced development partners) that are responsible for all stages of quality assurance for complex products and platforms, including testing strategy, analysis, coding, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions. They will be tasked with the following: Setup, configuration, and maintenance of multiple test configurations. Provide technical and project leadership for offshore validation team. Work as part of a team to develop, execute, triage, document, and test a series of features within a storage software solution under various x64 operating systems to deliver a reliable and cost-effective solution. Work together with software, drivers, and firmware teams on root-causing defects. Drives innovation and integration of new technologies, if applicable, into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization. Setup test hardware, firmware, and software for test automation development. Triage hardware failures on production and pre-production test systems. Image and install operating systems on servers/ workstations on the LAN as assigned by the team, ensuring work is documented for future reference. Do regular equipment maintenance schedules, updating System BIOS, iLO, BMC, etc. Run and maintain scripts to get hardware (servers) up & ready for automation. Other duties as logically associated with position may be assigned.

Compensation: $30-38/hr, excluding holidays
