QA Test Manager

Our client requires a QA Test Manager to manage testing across a portfolio of projects and business applications, including those related to dispatch, records, intelligence, communications, and HR systems. This resource will be managing QA teams in addition to doing hands-on QA work as well, including creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. 

 

Work is hybrid, two to three days / week on site in Edmonton, AB may be required. Fully remote is not an option. Interview will be onsite in Edmonton, AB. 

 

Duties include: 

Manage and lead teams of testers.  Communicate testing progress, roadblocks and solutions.  Coordinate, monitor, and execute test scripts (automated and manual) as needed.  Collect, collate, and report test results. Work with team leads, project managers, and technical staff as needed to identify the actions required to resolve issues identified during quality assurance and testing processes.  Create and maintain IT quality assurance plans, quality control plans, and associated guidelines, processes, and tools.  Create test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts, mapping them to business requirements.  Coordinate, monitor, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.  Mandatory Requirements Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in responsibility and project size  Experience communicating testing progress, roadblocks and solutions. Communication abilities is critical.  Experience coordinating, monitoring, and executing test scripts (automated and manual) as needed.   Intermediate to expert experience with Azure DevOps, particularly with the Testing Module, creating queries and dashboard contents.   Intermediate to expert experience with Microsoft Excel.   Self-directed with the ability to move back and forth between tasks without direction, able to prioritize and reprioritize work.
