QA Testing Analyst: III (Senior)
Description We are looking for a QA Testing Analyst III (Senior) to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role, with a focus in the industry, involves the creation and execution of test plans and scripts, collaboration with multiple project teams, and maintaining the regression test bed. This is an opportunity that offers a contract to permanent employment. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Business Systems Analysts and Development teams to review and ensure testable business objectives and requirements. • Actively participate in the review of technical and architectural design specifications. • Develop and maintain test data and end-to-end testing flows. • Conduct testing using manual and/or automated test processes and report results. • Work on multiple projects of moderate to high complexity as a subject matter expert. • Assign defect severity and manage defects throughout the project. • Collaborate with the project team to support User Acceptance Testing efforts as needed. • Participate in off-hour production releases as required. • Understand and consistently follow the project lifecycle methodology. • Provide mentorship to entry level team members as needed. • Focus on the testing of data, not front or UI testing. • Maintain a test data generator, preferably with knowledge of Python. • Have experience in scripting or programming, with Python as the preferred language. • Work with financial data and have experience with large data migrations. • Have experience with API Testing and exhibit a problem-solving, curious mindset. Requirements • Proficient in Documentation, able to effectively record and maintain testing processes and results. • Strong Planning skills, with the ability to organize and manage various testing projects simultaneously. • Experience in Review and Supervision, demonstrating leadership abilities in overseeing entry level testers. • Familiar with Production and Collection Processes, playing an active role in product development and data collection. • Expertise in Implementation, ensuring smooth roll-out of new software or updates. • Proficiency in Python Programming, with the ability to write and debug code. • Skilled in Change and Defect Management, adept at identifying issues and implementing solutions. • Understanding of various Methodologies in software testing. • Ability to create Deliverables such as reports and presentations on testing results. • Knowledge of Excel Formulas, with the ability to use Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Experience in UI (User Interface) testing, ensuring software is user-friendly and intuitive. • Proficiency in Regression Analysis, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data. • Familiar with Release Process, ensuring software is ready for public use. • Experience in developing and executing Test Cases, ensuring software meets all requirements. • Proficiency in writing SQL Queries, with the ability to extract and analyze data. • Ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and advice on software testing. • Familiarity with Test Plan creation, ensuring all testing activities are well-planned and organized. • Understanding of Business Objectives, ensuring testing activities align with company goals. • Experience in Triage, with the ability to prioritize issues based on severity. • Familiarity with Mindset Software, with the ability to use this tool for testing activities. • Experience conducting UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring software meets user expectations.
