QC Chemist

As a QC Chemist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our chemical products, supporting the manufacturing process with precision testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: + Testing & Analysis: Conduct a wide range of chemical, physical, and performance tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, including: + Colorimetry, UV-Vis, IR Spectroscopy, Titrations (Auto and Manual), Viscosity, Turbidity, Karl Fischer, Digital Density, Melting/Freezing Points, GC, LC-MS, and Atomic Absorption. + Data Management: Record test results accurately in Excel or SAP, ensuring that all data is properly documented and analyzed. + Lab Equipment Setup & Calibration: Set up and calibrate lab instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. + Corrective Actions: Recommend and initiate corrective actions for non-conformance in lab tests and product quality, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. + Compliance: Adhere to established policies and procedures, including safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping standards, to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. + Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to initiatives aimed at improving quality, environmental performance, and workplace safety. What We’re Looking For: + Education & Experience: + A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Prior experience in a quality control or laboratory environment is preferred. + Technical Skills: + Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as colorimetry, UV-Vis, IR spectroscopy, Karl Fischer titration, GC, LC-MS, and atomic absorption. + Experience with data management tools such as Excel or SAP for recording, analyzing, and reporting test results. + Attention to Detail: + Ability to analyze complex data and identify potential issues with high attention to detail. + Problem-Solving Skills: + Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems and recommend corrective actions when necessary. + Safety & Compliance Focus: + A commitment to working safely and in compliance with industry standards, including ISO, GMP, and 5S. + Communication: + Strong written and verbal communication skills to accurately document test results, communicate with team members, and generate reports.
