DESCRIPTION:

The QC Chemist will conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing to support the chemical manufacturing process. They will analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples. The role includes data entry, generating and filing records, setting up lab equipment, performing calibrations, and recommending or initiating corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance. This position is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of the manufacturing process.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing according to established policies and procedures.Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples.Perform data entry and generate and file records.Set up laboratory equipment and perform calibrations.Recommend and initiate corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance.Support safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures.Actively contribute to continuous quality, environmental, and safety improvement processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or equivalent.Zero years of work experience required for candidates with a 4-year Chemistry degree.2 years minimum QC work experience required for candidates with a 4-year Associate Science degree.4 years minimum QC work experience required for candidates with a 2-year Chemistry or equivalent degree.Self-motivated and results-oriented.Computer literate with excellent written and oral communication skills.Frequent professional interaction with manufacturing staff regarding quality-related matters.Familiarity with standard lab methodology and instrumentation.Possess technical skills to achieve challenging objectives.Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00
