Job Title: QC ChemistJob Description As a QC Chemist, you will use your independent judgment to analyze and determine the quality of products using various analytical equipment. You will perform laboratory procedures related to the analysis of bulk and pharmaceutical chemicals, ensuring accurate results and maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities + Analyze samples using laboratory equipment and techniques such as FT-IR, Loss On Drying, Non-volatile Residue, and moisture analysis. + Operate HPLC and GC systems to complete analyses of various types of samples. + Maintain a thorough and neat laboratory notebook. + Troubleshoot and fix various laboratory instruments. + Perform peer reviews of commercial product laboratory data. + Use critical thinking to analyze chemical entities and determine the quality of manufactured pharmaceutical compounds. Essential Skills + Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry. + Experience with FTIR, KF, HPLC, GC, and laboratory quality control. + Ability to use analytical laboratory equipment and chemical laboratory process and test equipment. + Strong critical thinking and understanding of analytical equipment and chemical compatibility. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with various computer systems. Work Environment The workplace may include areas where a wide variety of chemical materials are used and stored, with potential exposure to variable noise levels. Safety consciousness for personal and equipment is paramount. The QC Laboratory operates 24/7/365, and candidates must be open to working all shifts. This position is a day shift, Monday through Friday, with start times between 6 am and 8 am.
