The Role & What You Will Be Doing

The QC Chemistry Student will be trained on how to perform wet chemistry analysis of APIs, in-process product, finished product and stability samples and completing the relevant GMP documentation.

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Quality Control (QC) Chemistry Student role will make an impact:

Develop familiarity with basic laboratory equipment (operation, raw data processing, and calibration) and tests.

Ensure that work is carried out safely and in compliance with the organization’s quality system. Learn how to generate quality documentation in compliance with the internal organisational procedures and GMP.

Learn to perform wet chemistry testing for API, in-process product, finished product and stability samples.

Learn to perform chemical testing of Water.

Take ownership and ensure all personally assigned duties are carried out and controlled in line with the internal organization’s policies.

Ensure the laboratory area is always maintained in a clean condition and supplies of consumables are in constant stock.

Perform other duties as assigned.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

Student undertaking a degree/diploma in chemistry, analytical chemistry or relevant science related course

Must possess knowledge of basic/intermediate chemistry and computer skills (MS Office).

Must possess good analytical skills, and have an excellent attention for detail.

College level mathematics ability required.

Must be able to work as part of a team.

Ability to read and interpret general business documents.  Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, with good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
