Job DescriptionSupports clinical testing of pharmaceutical productsGathers data and documents test results. Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.Participates in required training activities.Maintains laboratory supplies.Completes test records and reviews data.Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.May assist in qualification and validation of methodsStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesLeadership responsibilities:
Coordinate scheduling, allocation of responsibilities, training and new hire on-boarding processMonitors the day to day operations of QC analyst staffMay support peer group lead operationsParticipates in training of other employees.Facilitate staff access to systems, controlled areas, etc. using approved proceduresParticipates in productivity tracking and prepares monthly metrics and quality reports.Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.Participates in new hire interviewsParticipates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experiencePrevious leadership experience is required and experience working in a GMP-regulated environmentAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipExperience in HPLC, LCMS, and/or UV-Vis Spectroscopy strongly preferredLevel will be determined based on relevant education and/or experienceAdditional InformationThis position is full-time on a Wed-Sat 1pm-11:30pm shift. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply! Base Compensation ranges from $23-25/hour dependent on relevant experience and education. 2nd shift has a 10% shift differential.
