QC Lab Technician

Join us as our QC Lab Technician The position will work as part of a team responsible for the quality control processes performed in a GMP-compliant dietary supplement manufacturing facility. All team members must be mindful of production timelines while supporting the achievement of quality, safety, sales and production goals. In this role you'll make an impact by: + Performing physical tests on finished products, intermediate products, raw materials, and R&D materials. + Collecting and preparing samples for testing. + Preparing chemical and bacteriological media, reagents, and test solutions used in the laboratory. + Assisting with sampling incoming raw materials. + Reviewing vendor COAs against in-house specifications and reporting discrepancies. + Recording laboratory test tracking data and communicating testing and disposition status of components and products in a timely manner. + Performing and documenting laboratory equipment maintenance per written procedures. + Assisting with writing Standard Operating Procedures and Standardized Work Instructions. + Communicating potential quality problems to management. + Assisting with QC investigations per written and verbal instructions. + Ensuring that samples delivered to the QC laboratory are properly logged in and that all testing is performed per the product specification sheet. + Assisting in the retention of quality control samples. + To succeed you must hold: + An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in a laboratory setting will be considered in lieu of degree. + Some laboratory work experience in an FDA-regulated industry, preferably dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals is preferred. + An understanding of microbiology, chemistry and practical application of general laboratory skills. + Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills. + Ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing priorities and handle unanticipated events without losing sight of core responsibilities. + Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.
