Quality Control (QC) Basel/Kaiseraugst comprises approximately 350 employees, organized in 7 departments with subordinary structures and is a central key point for the manufacturing of high quality medicines. 

The section Packaging Material & Medical Devices is responsible for packaging analytical testing as well as packaging speed testing. The arising demand of medical device testing will be addressed by the new role of a QC Medical Device Specialist.

The Opportunity

Within this role you support the Quality Control department with strategic guidance with regards to medical devices for the safety of our products and for the health of patients.

Your other main tasks and responsibilities:

Member of the QC Packaging Material & Medical Device leadership team

Assess the current status of medical device testing and establish strategy to comply with upcoming testing needs

Close collaboration with the Unit Leads Packaging Analytical Testing and Packaging Speed testing

Member of the local medical device SQUAD

Drive improvements in the medical device testing sector

Ensuring a good flow of information within and outside your own organizational area.

Development, implementation and execution of QC strategies and goals with local as well as global partners

Represent QC Packaging Material Testing & Medical Devices in audits and inspections; Ensure procedures and documentation are regulatory compliant and inspection ready.

Who you are

You are a positive thinking, integral and self-reflective personality with strong teamwork skills. Following your studies in life-sciences, you have 3+ years professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of quality assurance or quality control testing.

Sound experience (2+ years) within the medical device area and extensive knowledge of the current medical device regulations

You are familiar with LPS methodology, have extensive expertise in cGMP, as well as profound knowledge of local and international GMP regulations.

You take on challenging tasks independently, have the analytical ability to evaluate complex issues and make decisions.

You have a professional and results-oriented work style and are focused on continuous improvement.

As an integrative personality with strong communication skills, you are able to build trusting and effective relationships with a wide range of partners at the Kaiseraugst site and in the global Roche network.

Your excellent communication skills in fluent German or English enable you to deal with interlocutors at all levels.
