**QC Microbiologist II** Quality Assurance Chicago , IL, US Pay Rate Low: 30 | Pay Rate High: 33 + Added - 09/07/2025 Apply for Job **_A great opportunity for an experienced Microbiologist to continue their career in microbiology and environmental monitoring in a GMP biopharmaceutical environment located in Chicago, IL_** **Pay** **: $30-33/hr (~$65-70k)** **Hours** **: Day shift on 3 week rotation -- one week it's a 6a-2:30p, following week 8a-4:30p and then a 11a-7:30pm shift the following week** **Terms** **: 4 month contract-to-hire** **Qualifications & Skills:** + Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or a related field. + 3-5 years of experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. + Proficiency with air sampling EM equipment (such as Airldeal, HACH Met Ones 3440 Series, Lasair III, MiniCapt). + Experience in performing bacterial endotoxin testing, gram staining, growth promotion tests, bioburden, and microbial limit tests. **Responsibilities:** + Coordinates microbiological testing, product release, and testing activities related to validation protocols. + Conducts identification of microorganisms. + Reviews batch filling records from a technical perspective to ensure aseptic processing quality. + Interprets microbiological cultures and various test results, including but not limited to environmental monitoring, sterility testing, growth promotion, and microbial limits testing. + May support validation activities, technology transfer, troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to the development of quality-related policies and procedures. + Reviews and approves environmental monitoring data, as well as laboratory equipment logs and records. + Prepares status and process reports, assigns and tracks document numbers, and ensures documentation accuracy and completeness. + Performs additional tasks as required or assigned. + Adheres to all company policies and compliance standards. _**_ **_This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
