Summary of Internship

Internship positions provide an opportunity for science students to get hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

Become familiar with FDA and EU regulations regarding the required statements for the site’s manufactured productsTo perform quality control microbiological testing of incoming goods, intermediates and/or finished productsTo perform environmental monitoring of facilities, production environment and personnel under cGMP conditions.Collaborate with team members in production and quality to build robust documentation to support audit readinessTo perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment.Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvementsTo coordinate with team regarding tasks required completion.To maintain own training records and support and train other team members as required.To participate in continuous improvement activities to develop efficient team.To communicate optimally on site and internationally, and to participate with them in problem solving activities.Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and align with cGMP in all areas of the business.Ensuring HSE, cGMP and 5S in mind at all times.To carry out any other tasks which may be required from time to time.

How will you get here?

Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or Biomedical Sciences.No previous work experience required; previous related internships preferred.Experience using computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.Native (or proficient) in English.Internship will fulfill a 12-month University placement within curriculum.Ability to be onsite – this is not a remote opportunity.Excellent interpersonal skills and strong professional presence.Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in manufacturing/operationsStrong leadership and team building skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional teamAbility to learn, be mentored, and improve.
