Your RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician at our Glasgow site, available on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). The Quality Control Materials Technician reports to the Quality Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring effective quality control of materials used in GxP testing and GMP manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:Facilitating the quarantine and release of materials in compliance with quality procedures and regulatory standards (GMP).Supporting manufacturing and test labs by timely releasing quarantine items into stock.Completing electronic and paper records according to GDocP requirements and ALCOA principles.Utilizing LIMS and Oracle ERP systems for material traceability as required by the quality system.Submitting samples for appropriate QC release testing when necessary.Assisting with various aspects of material handling as agreed with Quality and Material management.Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.Effectively communicating with management and operational personnel regarding material status and release timelines.Who You AreCapable of planning and organizing your workload, taking ownership and accountability for assigned tasks to meet deadlines.Adaptable to schedule changes and able to prioritize tasks to support business needs while escalating risks to management when necessary.Committed to promoting an inclusive, open, and transparent working environment, respecting the opinions of others.Collaborative, working with team members in Quality and Operations to achieve departmental and business goals.Detail-oriented, ensuring quality and compliance requirements are met, contributing to product safety and the accuracy of GxP assay results.Empowered to challenge the status quo and support continuous process improvement and growth.
