QC Technician
**Description** Shift: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm + ot as required Position is a temporary role to cover for a mat leave for 6 months, however the opportunity to convert at end of the contract will be based on performance and internal opening. Responsibilities: • Performs testing and analysis on all production lines to ensure all products are produced within product specifications, company policies, and regulatory agencies. • Assists in monthly food safety audit and conduct food safety meeting to plant operation team and warehouse team. • Assists in oversee and maintenance of Food Safety Program. • Assists in plant audit inspection including SQF, QAI, FDA, Kosher, State inspection, etc. • Conduct coffee roasting for batch samples. Prepare tastings (cuppings) to determine coffee roasted meets its taste profile. • Conduct training session in a variety of subject for other employees. • Maintains a variety of records related to the food safety program. • Ensures safety and sanitation standards are always met through compliance with plan Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). • Assists in Quality and food safety related issues. Provide the corrective action and root cause investigation process. • Assists in supplier quality program ensuring quality standards for the receipt of purchased products and materials in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager. • Prepare samples for in-house customer tastings and/or to ship to customers. MUST HAVE: • Food manufacturing experience at an SQF certified facility is preferred. • Experience in adherence to current processes and regulations.
