Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician responsible for the execution of deliverables and outputs for the Quality Management system. This role involves inspecting and approving raw materials, components, packaging materials, work-in-progress, labels, and finished devices to ensure they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect and approve raw materials, components, packaging materials, work-in-progress, labels, and finished devices per standard QC procedures and the Quality Assurance Manual.
+ Notify appropriate personnel when Quality Control problems arise.
+ Conduct in-process and finished product clean room laboratory testing to ensure products and processes meet quality standards of FDA and ISO13485.
+ Document and route all required GMP forms and documents accurately and in a timely fashion.
+ Maintain Device History Records, QC request system, and Material Rejection System.
+ Maintain the QC laboratory in good working condition.
+ Exercise proficient familiarity with the Quality Assurance Manual, recommending changes and/or additions through the Supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in Quality Assurance and FDA Medical Device manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of CAPA, Regulatory Affairs, Complaint Management, Document Management, and Continuous Improvement.
+ Proficiency in laboratory practices, quality control, GMP, microbiology, and wet chemistry.
+ Good oral and written communication skills.
+ Mathematical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree (scientific discipline preferred) or 2+ years of Quality Med Device experience.
+ Medical Devices training.
Work Environment
The QC Technician will perform duties within an office space and clean room laboratory setting. This role is situated in a clean room medical device manufacturing plant, responsible for ensuring the quality of all relevant items according to procedures and specifications as set forth in the Quality Assurance Manual. This is an excellent opportunity to gain entrance into the Biotech field with a medical device manufacturing company. The company is small but extremely stable, offering excellent experience and exposure to all aspects of Med Device/Biotech manufacturing that may not be available at larger companies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
